Kathmandu Kissed minimum temperature today. Hot MO:MO and cold Ktm is the perfect combination and it is the most ordered item for today.  There are many customers in the cafe. The cafe final works has been completed and most of the things are ready except hiring of few workers. Sijan is busy today. As one waiter is unable to come to work the burden is of-course for the manager - Sijan and himself is taking orders today. Bhauju is assisting in kitchen.

It has been already 30 minutes that Bipin Ordered Coffee. Every staff knows Bipin and me are friends of Sijan and give less priority to us then the other customers. Instantly a beautiful lady was entering to the cafe. The sitting space was almost occupied. The chair next to Bipin was only the empty ones. 

Lady asked, "may I sit here?"

Bipin became quit nervous and replied, "a-a-a ..ya .. of-course you can"

At the same time waiter brought the coffee and smiled to Bipin. Cup of coffee was in middle of the table and lady thought it was for her and took it instantly.

Lady, "Thanks for the coffee... um.. by the way I am Saaya"

Bipin, "oh! I am Bipin, Bipin Nakarmi"

I was in the reception and as i saw the lady with Bipin it made me difficult to sit there and I dropped by bag to reception and went to restroom first. After a second Bipin was there too.

Bipin said, " The lady is super beautiful."

I replied, "Ya, i saw"

I asked, " any progress ?"

Bipin, " Not yet. By the way, I am here to request you not to disturb us."

"OK, done with free drinks today", I replied.

Bipin went on saying, "done! done!"

I was just standing side of the reception, seeing lot of people and searching sijan through my eyes. And then I looked at Bipin's table and I couldn't see the lady there. Bipin was holding Napkin in one hand and Rs 200/- in other hand.

In Napkin it was written, "sorry! Need to go, Urgent call"

Before she left the cafe, Saaya kept Rs 200/- just below the written Napkin.

Sijan

It has been one month that Sijan established his cafe - Rosario Cafe. The furniture are ready. The old Baneshwor will be getting new test of Argentinean food. Cafe is full of fun, delicious items, two big screens to watch league matches, snooker and if people wishes, they can even play mafia.

After Sijan's marriage, Bhauju is looking after the finance of the cafe, whereas Sijan himself is taking care of operations and marketing. Decoration and few construction of cafe is going on and after the completion of the cafe, Sijan is planning for the grand opening. Sijan is quit busy on hiring of staff, answering query of different people, promoting the cafe and instructing cook for new items etc.

Rosario Cafe

Bipin is regular customer who spends his entire evening, staying at cafe. Working at Ncell made him satisfied as he desires to be there. He seems happy and fantastic person as always. Being very close to owner of cafe he solves many customer problems.

I have been working in dynamic field and often visit the cafe. I always recall the old days at the college as I visit the cafe. I feel relaxed to stay in cafe, look the beautiful view form the window and talk about the friends.  Bishwambhar being the politician and entrepreneur, Bishal being the manager at bank, Gokarna graduated form Stantford University, Rhojan at Hukka , Nimesh going to his home town, Saroj in Handicraft Nepal, Shyam as a coach, Dinesh at his amazing Country hotel Asheem at Ace Travels and Sudhan at Trivani Bank. We sometimes talk about the girls and their marriage too. 


The cafe is all about the friends now. Our usual gathering specially me, Bipin and Sijan shows different dynamics of the friendship and the business at the cafe.

Tourism Ministry

After few months I need to go to Thailand. The program was the entrepreneur’s summit for Asian entrepreneur. I was called to give an hour session for the challenges for the entrepreneurs in the field of marketing. I had prepared a lot for it. The team from Nepal had already gone but I was asked to come later as my program was 3 days later.
Buddha Airlines started its flight since 2015 to Thailand. I got the ticket. The flight was on Sunday. All my preparations were completed and I planned to visit Thailand for a week. For that I started the required homework. I was fine till Saturday.

Sunday early I need to reach to airport. I went and there I was asked to sit in the seat. On the side of my seat it was empty. But after few minutes I saw a person who I recognized. She was Rashmee Poudel and we used to call her by double E i.e. “ee” in our college days. Obviously she was going to Thailand even though I asked. She was confused and unable to recognize me. I didn’t care because I didn’t tell her my introduction. I was different in these five years especially in my outlook.  

For more than 5 minutes we were silent. She surprisingly laughed and looked at me and screamed loud “Oh POTO!!!” I felt shy everyone in the plane was looking at me. She was employed in Tourism Ministry. She was section officer and she was able to pass the exams by LOKE SEWA. She also said, “As I am in Tourism Ministry and does not feel I am in government service. Every one there is punctual, intelligent and accountable to their task.” She took her Samsung Tab III and updated facebook status.

She is going to Thailand in the invitation by the Government of Thailand for the tourism promotion of Lumbini. Rashmee was looking to the area Lumbini, and Buddhism promotion in foreign country. I was glad to know that decentralization of task in the government services. In those days, only the ministers used to go to foreign countries. She will be meeting to the government officers in Thailand and talk about the monastery that Government of Thailand had constructed in Lumbini area. Also she will be involved in the discussion forum about the “Buddha – God of Peace”. Rashmee had done similar program in Indonesia before.

As we talked we even didn’t know the time has passed so fast. We are in Thailand and for her there were few people to welcome her. We went our own ways.
 Facts:1.      Rashmee completed here MBA here in Nepal and gave exam in LOK SEWA. She knew that Tourism Ministry is awesome place to work among the government jobs.
2.    There were 1680 people to fight for only 2 vacant positions in Tourism Ministry and she was selected from those many.
3.    Rashmee has got huge pressure to marry and there are many boys in line who wants to make Rashmee as life partner. Rashmee is in search of guy who really is trustworthy and love her. As she is betrayed by a guy she loved named Bikram.
4.    Rashmee visited almost all countries of Asia.
5.    She is doing Masters in sociology as well.

Hukka PALACE & NEA

Date: August 30^th 2017

Time : 7:45 Pm

I was in a restaurant and ate food and was going for pee. As I returned I was dashed by a guy. I looked clearly and waiting to listen SORRY by the guy but it is how the conversation begin. (And then I knew he was Rhojan)

Rhojan: Who is this?

Me: Hey! Rhojan. Long time no see!! Mate.

(Rhojan was not fresh)

Rhojan: What? What Long time?

Me: Oh yar!! You are drunk.

Rhojan: No! Nooo! Not yet!! I can still drink 2 full.

Me: By the way Happy Birthday Dude!! You are already drunk.

Rhojan: Is this a challenge? Oh need to go for pee!!! Just a minute

(He went to pee and washed his face and looked quite fresh. We sat together and I ordered water and lemon)

Me: Take this lemon. You will be ok.

Rhojan: Sale, k 6 tero khabar?

Me: I am fine. Are you alone here?

Rhojan: No, she just left and I started drinking. Haha it was my birthday party …

Me: Who she?

Rhojan: Baal ho… and what are you doing? I have heard you are back from US few days back and what is you plan?

Me: Plan! I don’t have plans; I only have dreams… ha ha just kidding. I am planning to start a new business and it is just plan.

(Rhojan ordered Vodka and asked if there is room in the Hukka Palace up to the waiter and waiter said Sir to him each time, came to know that Rhojan is regular customer of the Restaurant)

Rhojan: Challenge suru bhayo. If I can drink 2 full you need to pay or else I will.

Me: I can still remember the colz days mate (you drunk and know 90 minutes world cup story): you will be insulted here feri… ani night ma kata jane ho?

Rhojan: Here I go. (Rhojan started)

(I ordered beer and after few glasses that Rhojan started drinking he shared like this.....)

Rhojan: Life is nothing bro. It is simply how you think. See we were reading in our class and now we are just like this. Girls are like mountains if you can climb you will win or else you will be there in base camp forever.

Me: I agree. What about your earlier girl?

Rhojan: Which one? Oh ya…. She was good but she has gone abroad and came here and started her own business. Yestai ho kt haru..  where there is money they switch there easily.

Me: You guys broke up.

(Rhojan ordered other vodka and beer for me.  Also asked chicken chilly)

Nepal Electricity Authority

Rhojan: Officially!! Ya I had one in office.  You know my office “Nepal Electricity Authority”. 2 years was amazing. K garnu bestari halla failana thalyo. Then my grand pa knew about it. Then the girl was transferred I was Mr. Lonely for a while.

Me: What about you studies?

Rhojan: I completed my MBA from India and back here. Grand pa was in Electricity Authority and you know here in Nepal what happens. He asked me to apply in Project Officer. I was in.

You know what!! When I was in India I was in love with a girl named Priya. Oh god she was so sexy. Our relationship went serious. Then she called me her home one day. Said that she was only one child of the parents and all the wealth was going to be of her. I was positive and one day again she called me in dinner with her family.

(Rhojan stopped speaking)

Me: then what happened?

Rhojan: Don’t ask. They asked me to marry her within a month.  Then I called my parents and they said to come back to Nepal. It was around 3 months left for final semester to be over. I broke up with her. Still yaad aau6 yar.

(Ordered other Vodka)

Me: Hey stop. No more drinks. It’s over now. Aati bhayo.

(I came to know that the restaurant where we are drinking is Rhojan’s half share holder -49% and 51% by other who is handling the management)

Rhojan: Haya mero restaurant ho .. no tension at all. Ani voli saturday.  Baal ho. Where was i? Ya. Then I stated all my problems with Priya. She also cried and then after our MBA she got married with business man there in India. Still she calls me time and again. What can I do mate? Life is nothing. Nothing at all.

SO drink. Relax and there is Hukka up lets go!!!

(We were there and I returned home at 11 that night.)

Facts:

11.      Rhojan had many investments in Mutual Fund and shares.

22.   He was in relationship with 4 girls, all together after the BBA.

33.   Rhojan earns lot of Money and invest in different portfolio. (Finance padako  dharo garira6… keto le)

44.   He is so passionate about hukka and invested in Hukka Palace. He is able to earn a lot and changes his car time and again.

55.   He has no plans to marry soon, but he is in deep love with this girl just came in the restaurant.  The interesting thing is her name is also Priya.

Visit Hamro Nepal

After my MBA i was back in Nepal. I was immediately planning to new and beautiful place on my country. Each year new places were explored and there was few travel company which has the pure research department to find new places and exploring it to the world.

Beautiful Pokhara

I have heard a lot about the "Visit Hamro Nepal." doing different things for the promotion of the country. Recently Visit Hamro Nepal discovered the Dhoonder cave and rafting route near river which is few Kilometers form Pokhara. Pokhara has been always a beautiful fame. I saw the website and all I could do is register my name and book the ticket but i didn't.

The very next day I went to the office of the Visit Hamro Nepal. The things in the room of office was  all made in Nepal. They used to drink water for Ghaito( pot made of clay). Replacing Lassi to Mohi(traditional drink of Nepal) was amazing and I was happy to drink 3 glass of Mohi. 

I asked , "how is business going on."

Staff :" fine"

I: I am planning to visit new place through this travels.

(She replied the details of the place that i visited last night in website.)

She added, "it is entirely new and the first group will be moving in 3 days. We have started online registration. Or you can just register, now. "

In the day of the visit I came early in front of the office and guide told us different things about the place. We had breakfast together and at the end of the instruction he said we need to pay $500 after the tour, as we are satisfied by the tour and services. 

As I was in the bus that we are going to go I recognized the face. The same face that we were together in the BBA. The same smiling face and again smiling at the very day.

Humble, exciting and person always want to travel. She didn't see me and instantly one of the staff told her, "madam, Jhon flight became late by 15 minutes". She replied, " Ok fine he will handle office for few day as i will be back in 7 days."

Then I said, " Namaste Mam!! " and she laughed and laughed for minutes and replied, "K 6 POTO?"

She is my friend Maya Rai, CEO of Visit Hamro Nepal.

Facts:

1. Maya married to Jhon recently.

2. Maya is owner of the Company and CEO of Visit Hamro Nepal.

3. In the first explored place, Maya go with the customer together(exited to visit new places).

4. She is going to invest in Three Star Hotel soon.

5. She completed her Masters in Tourism where she had relationship with Jhon.

Handicraft Nepal

Handicraft has been the Nepalese oldest way of exploring creativity. Nepal has shown its face in third country through the diversified culture. When I was in US I heard that the cultural show was conducted and it was followed by the lunch as the traditional food of Nepal.

HANDICRAFT NEPAL is one emerging company which has aggressive advertisement in International Market. As my work in Nepal was about the handicraft I was happy to hear that handicraft promotion has been done in huge amount. I went to the site of the HANDICRAFT NEPAL and saw the product. It also has the facility of the online buying and selling. I could see the product that are made of Bamboo as table and chair with different color and size that are suitable in different restaurants.

There were article of different people in the website.  I came to read one of them and it was from Canada. The person is Joy and he has bought the chairs from HANDICRAFT NEPAL and after the day of purchase, he placed in his restaurant. It was comfortable to sit and unique. After a week Joy’s restaurant was full of the visitors and his business was in Boom. He expanded his business and he would like to thank HANDICRAFT NEPAL for making such a chairs. He also purchased the other decorative handicrafts which were demanded by the visitors and he also started selling those through HANDICRAFT NEPAL taking no commission charge.

I saw the products and some so unique and admirable. The focus is to use of Natural resources wisely. Some products are made of wasted plastic and usually it is sold in environment friendly organizations. I became curious to know about the organization’s detail.

It was around few days after I was back in Nepal. My friend Harry wanted to get something that belongs to Nepal. I went to the site of the HANDICRAFT NEPAL. I found the address and in admiring words there was the figure of “Pancha Baja”. This was the traditional orchestra of Nepal that used to perform during the Marriage ceremony. The set was to be sold along with the documentary of the evolution of the music and about the culture. I showed the instruments to Harry.

As we got the address of HANDICRAFT NEPAL Patandhoka, we started our journey. We went to the show room. The showroom was large enough and the product is placed along with its features, which made us easy to understand about the product and its origin. Harry chooses different ancient musical instruments and I bought one Sarangi. We went out of the show room and there was information center at the side. Books, CDs and collection of the article was available there.

Before going I saw someone who I recognized, with same kind of hairstyle and improvised Nepali dress. He parked his car and was about to enter to the HANDICRAFT NEPAL. I was little confused and he didn’t recognize me.

I called ,”Saroj!”. He looked and took off his sunglasses. He still became confused as I was with beard and no eyeglasses. I said “ma Pradeep Ho..”

Saroj: Pradeep? Kun Pradeep?

Me: Sangai college padako hoina?

Saroj: A a yo po rai6..

Let’s go in.

I agreed and went with him.

He straightly went to the office of Manager and I asked if there was any work with manager and Saroj said ,”Ma ta ho ni Manager…”

And I was surprised a bit. He said after he was back after his MBA I thought of doing what I enjoy and talked to father. He said, “my father helped me a lot to find the product, investors and even market. We are growing day by day. We want to make identity of Nepal.”

We talked for a while and Harry also asked many things about the entrepreneurship and life of different artists. Harry was interested to make the documentary of Artist and talked about it with saroj. I could see his table and chairs and other objects in his room, it was all made of bamboo and reflects something of Nepal in each product. Saroj wanted to join the lunch together and we went after the lunch back to home.

Facts:

1.       The share form Saroj family was 25% and rest of HANDICRAFT NEPAL was by other investors.

2.       Now there are different stalls in Five star hotel of Nepal. Saroj is planning to set the different store in foreign countries. He is also seeking the appropriate Marketing Personal to his work.

3.       Saroj was gaining weight and is in relationship with the girl of Italy. Within 2/3 months she is opening the store of HANDICRAFT NEPAL there in Italy.

4.       The interesting thing is she calls Saroj as Suku Darling. Saroj dreams of being with her in Nepal but she wants Saroj to be in Italy with her.

5.       Saroj is being facilitated by the Foreign Ministry and given the Brand Ambassador of Tourism Nepal.

Hamro NMB Ko BM Nimesh

I was glad to see Nimesh Ghimire in Khadbari. I could remember the song that he sang during the Tour in 7^th semester..”Lasun Piyaaj… Khadbari” NMB launched its 88^th branch in September 2017 at Khadbari deciding Supervisor of the bank Nimesh Ghimire as Branch manager in Khadbari.

The bank had all service in the branch. The branch will be run by 8 staff including Nimesh(BM). I had to run through my international friends to visit Nepal and my one destination happened in to Khadbari as our vehicle mal-functioned early in the morning. I already knew from other friends about the Nimesh and it was near as well. We caught public vehicle and went to the Khadbari. The weather was hot and intolerable.

I talked to the guard of the office and entered and asked the receptionist to let me meet with the BM of the bank. She said sir is out for a while. It took Mr. Ghimire 45minutes to come to office. I could recognize the walking style and now he is in Black suit. His hair style has been changed and they said the unique nature of him is he wears shoe made in Pakistan only.

Before the entrance of Nimesh, I observed the bank and it was good, well facilities, different departments, and well parking area. The office of the BM is up in 2^nd floor. The working area was also good and was eco friendly. There is high flow of the clients and customers. The master card has been distributed by NMB bank also and many people are curious about it.

As Nimesh entered, the guard said there are many people to meet and the Nimesh said, ”ra ta”. I smiled and he is still the same. Guard showed us and again Nimesh was unable to recognize me. I stood up and said, “Pradeep Parajul and we are BBA mates. They are my friends for different part of the world”

He called all of us in his room. It was big and nice. He dialed a number and said, “6 cold drinks, very fast!!”. We started talking and Nimesh was happy to work in this area. He said, “Afno gaun ma kaam nagarne ho vhani kasari develop hun6? Then I thought about it lot. I talked to the seniors and they decided to open new branch here.” He added, “I am very passionate about it.”  He added, “NMB ma ramro impression rakhna sakiyo in Intern period ani tes pa6i ta yestai ho!!”

The scheme was the loan for the youth who wants work here easily and properly. “I am planning to attract and help the person who really wants to work”, he added.

We left after out jeep was made and Nimesh said, “Maasu Khayara ja sale!!”(slang word inside the bank) But we didn’t have that enough time and we went.

Facts:

1.       It was just few months that Nimesh was married.

2.       Nimesh started drinking but still he is not so use to with hard drinks and says, “Beer thik 6!! Aananda aaune rai6 yar!!”

3.       He completed his MBA in finance and there he started drinking.

4.       He watches Pakistan every match. He puts bet to any one against who is against of Pakistani Cricket team.

5.       He has become quite fair(ali goro bhaya6 MORO)
