READ WORLD

One of the best culture of the foreigner is Reading which has transformed their society in those days. Now also they read rather than talking. Still here in Nepal we are unable to build the culture of reading. Now after I returned from US I am in search of the place where I can get different books and read there, also the online reading system, along with the code and password I also need to read in home as well.

After saying to people I am need of such place then I found READ WORLD situated at kupondol. I went and found amazing place. There are many halls. The receptionist gave me the general introduction that here is library and anyone is allowed to read, on the other side there is a sales room where we can buy the book that we like, in the core part of library there are laptops where we can read online book but there are few procedures that I need to follow before reading the online book. Out of the hall on the side there is video conference room where we can discuss to other people who had already read the same book from different world. There is discussion room where every week there a discussion of the book is made. Along with it sometimes there is book review writing competition and many more.

In upper part of the there are store, small café and a bit side of it there are two different rooms one is written as Staff room and other is READ WORLD Head. I was happy to learn the way how it motivates people to read. It also helps to make the connections with the people who had read the same book and makes the place to discuss different ideas.

One who wants to be the regular member has to pay Rs 500 per month.  And who wants online book reading facility need to pay Rs 300 extra per moth. The person who wants to get the password and read being at any corner of the world need to pay Rs 500 extra i.e Rs 1000 per month. There is special provision for reading English and it cost Rs 6000 per month and the teachers/guides are highly professional. There won’t be more than 15 students in a class. Everyday reading, writing, listening and speaking class are held 2 hours and 30 minutes for each category. The students are dived as different levels and placed in the particular class. D,C,B,A and A+ are five category of classes.

I was glad to know the READ WORLD has already opened its branch in Pokhara as well. I could see the flow of the students. At the side of the Gate, written as, Special class every Monday 4pm to 5:30 pm handwriting class by READ WORLD head. I was surprised to see it and became more curious and it was Tuesday today. There will be 30 to 40 students in a class and we need to register our name by Rs 200. I was analyzing it in different way and thought as beautiful idea and beautiful way to earn money. I registered my name there and gave me a card.

After I read the book that day I planned to become the online member plus the supporter of the READ WORLD. On Friday again I came and I applied for the member bringing all the necessary things. We will be having the card we will provide it on Monday as Saturday and Sunday the office remains close but the library will remain open.

On Monday I was there on 4:45 and still I had 45 minutes and I forgot that I need to take the card plus I need to be there and say I am present. The officer gave me my READ WORLD card and a t-shirt of READ WORLD which was promotional gift from the READ WORLD.

I was in the class with the copy and pen given by the officer. The class was about to be ready and with stunning dress I saw our teacher who would be teaching to write the English hand writing was Priyanka Shrestha.  I could not believe and I looked my card and written Priyanka Shrestha as the head of the READ WORLD. She has become professional writer as well as she gave her background and importance of writing in our daily life. After she taught us to write and how to make the beautiful hand writing.

I was not surprised that She didn’t recognized me. I met her after the class. She asked my name and I replied, “ I am not senortita but POTO” and she laughed surprisingly. I was so curious to know more about the READ WORLD and asked her if she has time or not. She said I am quit busy but I have 30 minutes now. I went in her office and there were photos of the few foreigners.

Facts:

1.       Priyanka while she was in Australia her professor was impressed by her hand writing when she asked her professor to read her articles.

2.       Few NRN who lived in Australia planned the business of READ WORLD but didn’t find the passionate person to run it. In different party and programs Priyanka met those NRN and they talked together.

3.       After few years Priyanka will be 25% share holder because as charity that impressed professor gave few amount after she said about the READ WORLD and she made it 10% of the total investment. She asked Investors to increase her share by15% to make 25% in 5 years. They agreed and by 2019 she will be having 25% share of all the READ WORLD.

4.       Now this year 2017 BOOK WOLD is opening other branch in Bhaktpur.

5.       Priyanka put all the secrets of her personal relationship but flashed that I am already engaged. Waiting suitable time to get married. And She asked , “what about you POTO?”
